Our induction training programme is delivered over 4 days and is a mandatory requirement for all new carers before they can begin working with us.
The training is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to deliver outstanding care. Topics covered include understanding your role as a carer, safeguarding, person-centred care, our values and expectations, policies and procedures, and dementia care. You will also complete practical training in Basic Life Support, Moving and Handling, and Medication Administration.
We require all carers to complete our induction programme, regardless of previous experience or qualifications. Whether you are new to care, have worked in the sector for many years, or hold a Diploma in Health and Social Care, attending induction ensures that you understand our standards, ways of working, and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Throughout the training, your knowledge, skills, and understanding will be assessed. This forms an important part of our safer recruitment process and helps ensure that all carers are fully prepared to support and protect the vulnerable people we care for.

Yes - You will need to have an Enhanced DBS or be on the DBS update service before you can start working with the clients. We will ask you to apply for this but you will be refunded the cost after you have been with the company for 6 months. You will need to declare any offences before being offered as this is part of our regulatory requirements.
In some area's DBS do take a while to come through so we suggest you wait for this before leaving your current employment.

For many professional carers, a vehicle is far more than just a means of getting from A to B, it is an essential part of providing reliable care and support to those who need it most. Whether you work as a domiciliary carer or a live-in carer who drives, having the correct car insurance in place is vital.
Carers often travel between multiple locations throughout the day, including visiting clients in their own homes. As a result, a standard social, domestic and pleasure car insurance policy may not provide the level of cover required for work-related travel.
It is also important to establish whether transporting clients forms part of your role, as this can affect the type of insurance cover you need. Ensuring your policy accurately reflects how you use your vehicle can help protect you and provide peace of mind while carrying out your duties.

Home care is driven by client demand, which can fluctuate as new clients join us and existing care arrangements change. A zero-hours contract gives us the flexibility to match carers with the right clients while maintaining continuity of care.
When you join us, you'll begin with shadowing and training before we gradually build your regular client base. Most carers find that their hours become more consistent over time, particularly if they can offer flexible availability, especially the early morning, evenings and weekend hours.

Before you can begin working, we must receive and verify all required compliance documentation, including your DBS certificate, references, and completed onboarding paperwork. Once these checks have been completed, you will be invited to attend our mandatory 4-day training programme.
You can only start work once your training has been successfully completed and all compliance requirements have been fully met.
The typical timeframe from receiving a job offer to your start date is between 4 and 6 weeks. While we work hard to progress applications as quickly as possible, the most common cause of delays is the processing and return of DBS checks. Promptly submitting your documents and responding to any requests for information can help ensure a smooth onboarding process.
