Read Hayleys Journey:
Starting out in an office role, Hayley’s career took a pause as she chose to focus on raising her children and caring for her grandparents. This time away from the professional world didn’t stop her ambitions but instead sparked a passion for CareGiving that would later transform her career.
Her journey into care work began after attending a Dementia Friends session led by our MD Alastair. Inspired by the insights and the potential to make a real difference, Hayley decided to explore this path further; she started by volunteering at a local day centre, where she gained hands-on experience, and then transitioned to working in a nursing home. These roles helped her understanding of CareGiving and her commitment to supporting others.
Eager to continue making a positive impact, Hayley joined Right at Home as a domiciliary caregiver - her dedication was quickly highlighted, which meant alongside her CareGiver duties, she took on the role of a community events champion. Hayley took on the leading role in our community groups, contributing to sessions that not only supported our clients but also provided support to the wider community. After this, she progressed to become a part of the office team at Right at Home, where she now plays a pivotal role as a trainer - Hayley now provides comprehensive training to new CareGivers, sharing her knowledge and personal experience.
